Piyush Chawla commended Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for their emphasis on Test cricket, particularly in the wake of India’s decisive victory in the Cape Town Test on January 4, which brought the series to a close against South Africa.

Both Rohit and Kohli elected to miss the initial portion of the tour, which consisted of white-ball cricket, but returned for the Test series.
